Today I went next door to the landlord to pay rent. He mentioned that the rent check was his birthday present from us. Turns out that, yes, today is his birthday (three days before mine. Hint, hint). And how old is Ernie?

He's by far the best landlord we've ever had. Granted, that's not saying much, as EWU is the only other landlord we've had, and they were terrible. But hopefully he'll be around for a while longer, at least until we leave this apartment, which will probably be in July.
